A software development subscription is recurring development work for a monthly fee. At Nova, it sits within Design + Build: the same subscription covers the interface design and the custom implementation that makes it work.
The focus is web-based digital products. Requests can cover a new application, a defined feature in an existing product, a bug fix or an integration between systems. There is no separate development-only price in the current offer.
This can suit a business with an ongoing product backlog, an internal tool that needs iteration, or a web application being built in stages. A project with many simultaneous workstreams or a fixed deadline needs a scope conversation before the subscription begins.
Interfaces. Data. Working connections.
Development scope covers frontend and full-stack web applications. Each request needs a defined behaviour: who can do what, which data is involved, and what a successful result looks like.
Frontend and backend
Application screens, backend behaviour, database changes and authentication. A feature can include its loading, empty and error states, along with the permissions needed for the intended users.
Payments, APIs and integrations
Payment flows and connections to external services. Access to the relevant accounts, API documentation and test environments is part of defining a workable request.
AI features and automations
Defined AI-assisted features and automated workflows within a web product or connected system. Specify the intended input, output and review step; provider capabilities and usage charges remain separate considerations.
Release and iteration
Deployment, analytics, bug fixes and ongoing product improvements. Hosting, paid software and API usage are separate costs unless agreed otherwise.
A backlog is not one giant request.
Larger development work is broken into sequential deliverables. For example, a customer portal might begin with sign-in, then the customer record, then an editable view, then an integration. This is an illustrative sequence, not a delivery schedule or a finished Nova project.
One request is active at a time per subscription. Agree what that piece needs to do, review the work, revise it as needed, and then move to the next piece. Unlimited requests means the queue has no request cap; it does not mean unlimited engineering output.
The existing codebase, system access, technical dependencies and feedback affect timing. A larger feature can span multiple deliverables and billing periods. Discuss priorities and constraints before treating a monthly fee as a project budget.
Bring the context. Keep the ownership clear.
For existing software, share the repository, development instructions and relevant system context through an agreed access method. Identify what works today, the change you want and any constraints the next deliverable must respect.
Design + Build costs $5,999 per month in USD and includes all Design services, unlimited revisions and one active request. Completed code and design files produced for your business are yours once paid for. Third-party hosting, API and software costs remain separate unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
You can pause or cancel anytime. Ongoing improvements are available while the subscription is active; the offer does not promise round-the-clock incident response or a support SLA. If the work needs a particular operating arrangement, discuss it before starting.
A few details.
Can you develop an existing web application?
Yes. Bring the codebase and explain the requested change. The first deliverable should account for the existing architecture, access and dependencies.
Is an entire MVP one request?
A substantial MVP is broken into sequential deliverables. The subscription does not guarantee that an entire product will be finished in a single month.
Are native mobile apps included?
Nova’s current development offer focuses on web-based digital products. Native mobile applications are outside the stated scope.
Can I use the plan only for development requests?
Yes. You can prioritise development work in Design + Build. The price remains $5,999/month and design is available within the same plan.
